Client Profile: Noble & Greenough School

$102M Vote of Confidence

10/18/2008Noble and Greenough School, Dedham, MA (Grades 6-12, Coed, 567 Students, Day & Boarding) is about to complete its $86-million OneNOBLES campaign. The final numbers won’t be tallied until later this fall, but with more than $102 million already committed, the campaign can only be regarded as an “off the charts” success!

Client Campaign Update

6/1/2008 New Canaan Country School (New Canaan, CT) publicly launched its $23 million Living the Mission campaign last fall with more than 75% of its capital objective in hand. At a gala kickoff attended by more than 600, NCCS opened the doors of its newly renovated and substantially expanded Stevens Upper School, which now includes dazzling new science and arts facilities and a variety of new common/meeting spaces. Leading the charge at NCCS is Head of School Tim Bazemore, Board President Bill Laverack, and Campaign Co-Chairs LindaWhitton, JaneWilliams ’72, and Chuck Kontulis.

A Textbook Case: Endowing Excellence At Tenacre

5/16/2007 “It’s a lot tougher raising money for endowment than for bricks and mortar projects, isn’t it?” We at Jaques & Company are asked this question regularly. With major campus building projects behind them, many of our clients are now focused on building “sustainability” through the power of endowments. One such school, Tenacre Country Day School, a PreK-6 elementary school in Wellesley, MA, launched its Endowing Excellence campaign in late 2004 to raise $7.5 million for faculty, program and financial aid initiatives. At the kickoff gala in January 2007, the School had passed the $6 million mark (81% of goal). With Tenacre barreling towards its goal, what factors played a strong role in the campaign’s early success? And, what does this say about the essence of a well-managed endowment campaign?
