Falmouth Academy was founded in 1977 as a small and rigorous academic day school for boys and girls in grades 7-12. Because the school believes that education - especially high school education - should be personal, Falmouth Academy is determined to remain small, with about 36 students per grade and an average class size of 12, so teachers and students can know each other well. The school is not only a strong resource for its students, who come primarily from Southeastern Massachusetts and Martha's Vineyard, but also for the external community as it hosts three professional performing arts groups, a lecture series and robust summer programs. The school retained Jaques and Company in spring 2009 to provide pre-campaign counsel and offer guidance on other aspects of the development program. Working with Headmaster David Faus, Board Chair Susan Morse and Development Director Jayne Iafrate, Jaques and Company's early work has focused on case development, prospect definition and cultivation strategies, and volunteer leadership roles. President Bill Jaques is serving as lead counsel.
