Founded in 1836, Gould Academy is a co-educational college preparatory high school serving 240 boarding and day students. Located on the eastern edge of the White Mountains, Gould teaches traditional values, coupled with cutting edge technology and a philosophy that focuses on the individual student. With a 6:1 student to teacher ratio and diverse student body, Gould's educational opportunities expand far beyond the classroom to include trips overseas, outstanding on-snow programs affiliated with Sunday River, and numerous outdoor education opportunities. Gould prides itself on having a close-knit community, strong faculty-student relationships and attention to the development of the whole person.
Jaques & Company completed a feasibility study for Gould in May 2008 and is currently serving as campaign counsel while Gould pursues gifts in the nucleus phase of what is anticipated to be a $30-million plus campaign. Company Consultant Andrea Stewart is working closely with Zack Lehman, Assistant Head of School for Advancement and Head of School, Head of School Dan Kunkle, and the Board of Trustees on this important initiative.
