The Hamilton–Wenham Education Fund

Client Snapshots

"In late 2008, the Hamilton Wenham Education Fund (the Edfund) embarked on a strategic planning process to enhance its role in providing philanthropic support of public education in the Hamilton Wenham Regional School District. Jaques and Co. was retained to provide counsel in this process and helped the Committee in developing the planning process, use of internal and external resources, and facilitating broad and candid discussion at Committee meetings. The Committee met several times addressing issues of fundraising, communications, public education, collaboration with other institutions, and the future of the Edfund. Bill Jaques was always available and brought his considerable experience and expertise in independent education development to the table. As a result, the Committee was able to produce a strategic plan with revised mission and vision for the Edfund and a renewed commitment to advancing educational excellence in our regional schools. We simply would not have been able to get here from there without Jaques & Co."

feed1

Founded in 1990, the Edfund is an independent non-profit charitable organization that raises money for the Hamilton Wenham Regional School District through an educational endowment fund. Each year, the Edfund makes grants to supplement the schools’ budget, providing important educational enhancements across the District. Over the years, with monies from the Annual Appeal and other fundraising efforts, the Edfund has built an endowment of more than $1 million. Income from this endowment is used to support the various educational program needs each year. Jaques & Company was retained in 2009 to help the Edfund create a new strategic plan for the organization. Working with the Board of Directors, Company President Bill Jaques assisted with project design and served as lead project facilitator.
